Biography
Jing Li received her Ph.D. from the Faculty of Education, Simon Fraser University. Her teaching and research interests include academic literacy, university writing pedagogy, interdisciplinary and intercultural communication, second language writing, technical communication, and multilingual learner agency and identities in multilingual, multicultural, and globalized environments. Jing’s teaching experience in higher education extends over 14 years, including undergraduate-level courses in academic literacy, argumentation, rhetoric and composition, professional and technical communication, and intercultural communication. Prior to joining the School of Engineering, Jing taught in the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies, Department of English and Cultural Studies at UBCO (from 2020 – 2022) and in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University (from 2018-2019).
